Hi, and welcome to a piece of the Web that I dedicated to some memories very dear to me and, hopefully, to a few other people as well!
Why photographs? As those who know me for long could tell you, I am not a huge fan of photography. Up until a few years ago, I would often make fun of the people who cannot do anything without pausing to take a picture.
Two things changed that. First, the realisation that memory will not serve forever. Second and most important, my association with two great friends, Alexandros Voulouvoutis and Lazaros Karatzas, for whom the words "picture maniacs" are a big understatement! Guys, this site is as much yours as it is mine.
Over the years, trips and adventures with a lot of friends have produced some great pictures. As many of us are now following different paths in life, we no longer have the chance to share these memories easily, so I thought I'd give them their due, while at the same time making it easier for anyone else who wants to distribute his pictures to post them online.
I have included a few selected picks here and I hope I will be able to expand this selection soon. Contributions are always welcome, anyone who feels he or she has something to offer, just send me their pictures and I will be more than happy to add them to this site. I will not (at least not for the moment) list every single picture that I have, because my schedule -- not to mention my sanity -- would not allow that.
I am devoting this space to all the friends I shared these experiences with. Every time I look at these pictures, I can't help but think of all the good times we had and are still having. My friends, I wish you all well and hope that the best of times still lie in the future!..
